Sonia A. Russo

Sonia A. Russo is Counsel to the firm and represents clients in business disputes involving dissolutions, shareholder disputes, contracts, business torts, real estate and restrictive covenants in the Commercial Division, Federal Court and various arbitration forums.

Following law school, Ms. Russo spent five years at the Queens County District Attorney’s office and handled all aspects of felony cases, gaining significant trial and courtroom experience. Thereafter, for more than two years, Ms. Russo was associated with the Commercial Litigation department of one of Long Island’s premier law firms, honing business litigation skills and experience.
Distinctions include Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024; and recipient of the New York State Bar Association Judith S. Kaye Commercial and Federal Litigation Scholarship during December 2020. While at St. John’s University School of Law, she was the semifinalist in the Honorable Milton Mollen Moot Court Competition and earned the Dean’s Award for Excellence in Legal Analysis and Writing.

She is admitted to practice in New York State and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
