Sonia A. Russo is Counsel at the Firm and represents clients in business disputes involving dissolutions, shareholder disputes, contracts, business torts, real estate and restrictive covenants in the Commercial Division, Federal Court and various arbitration forums.

Following law school, Ms. Russo spent five years at the Queens County District Attorney’s office and handled all aspects of felony cases, gaining significant trial and courtroom experience. Thereafter, for more than two years Ms. Russo was associated with the Commercial Litigation department of one of Long Island’s premier law firms, honing business litigation skills and experience.

Distinctions include The Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch, 2021 and 2022; and the recipient of the New York State Bar Association Kaye Scholarship during December 2020.

Ms. Russo is a graduate of Stony Brook University with a B.A cum laude in English. She earned her J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law where she was the semifinalist in the Honorable Milton Mollen Moot Court Competition, and earned the Dean’s Award for Excellence in Legal Analysis and Writing. She is admitted to practice in New York State and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. Ms. Russo is a member of the Suffolk County Bar Association and the Federal Bar Council for the Eastern District of New York Committee.
