Anthony J. Menna is an associate of Barnes & Barnes, P.C. and is admitted in the State of New York as well as the Eastern District of New York. Prior to joining Barnes & Barnes, Anthony worked for the Law Department of a local municipality where his practice focused on all phases of litigation – including the preparation of pleadings, motion practice, examinations before trial, hearings, document demands and responses, and court appearances – in relation to matters ranging from breach of contract, municipal law and negligence. In addition, Anthony assisted in the investigation and prosecution of over 1000 violations of the municipality’s Code.
At Barnes & Barnes, P.C., Anthony focuses his practice on commercial litigation and his skill and expertise in each stage of litigation ensures that each client gets the most favorable outcome to their matter. At the onset of litigation, Anthony works with clients to understand every facet of their case to ensure the utilization of the most effective strategy in the prosecution or defense of their matter. Post-commencement, Anthony carefully navigates the discovery process by meticulously drafting demands designed to procure the documents and information necessary to the success of his client’s case. His experience in all facets of the litigation process – from the drafting of summons and complaints, to discovery demands and responses, through party depositions and all the way up to trial – leaves his clients with the knowledge that they are in great hands to facilitate success.
Anthony earned his J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law in June 2016, finishing with a 3.72 GPA and graduating cum laude. During his time at St. John’s, he was a member of the St. John’s Law Review and received the “Dean’s Award for Excellence” in both Taxation – Federal Personal Income and Torts. Prior to earning his J.D., Anthony graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy with a minor in Economics from the State University of New York at Albany in 2013. In his free time Anthony enjoys snowboarding, chess and hiking.
